These terms are the agreement between you and Hadam Project, based in Malaysia, which builds and runs Sinoonim ("Sinoonim," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Sinoonim app or sinoonim.com, you agree to them. Please read them — they're short, and the part about how we treat each other matters most.
Sinoonim helps you keep track of films, find out when they reach cinemas and streaming in Malaysia, and share reviews, rankings, and lists with other people. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Use Sinoonim for your own, personal, non-commercial purposes, and don't try to break, overload, scrape, or get around the way it works.
How we handle your personal information is covered by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Keep your sign-in details to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account. Choose a username that isn't offensive and doesn't pretend to be someone else. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account in the app.
Sinoonim has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Anything that breaks the rules below is removed, and accounts that post it may be suspended or permanently banned without warning.
In reviews, replies, lists, usernames, bios, profile photos, and anything else you post, don't:
Spoilers are fine in a review when you mark it as containing spoilers — please do, so others can choose whether to read it.
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it from the "…" menu on the review, reply, list, or profile. We review every report and act on objectionable content within 24 hours, removing it and, where appropriate, removing the account that posted it.
You can also block anyone from the same menu. Blocking hides their reviews, replies, and profile from you, hides yours from them, removes any follow between you, and stops them from following you again. You can unblock people from Permissions.
What you post stays yours. By posting it on Sinoonim, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission to host, store, display, and share it within Sinoonim — for example, showing your review on a film's page, in your followers' feeds, or in a share card you create — for as long as it's on the service. When you delete something, or your account, that permission ends, apart from copies that briefly remain in backups.
You're responsible for what you post. We may remove anything that breaks these terms or the law, but we don't check everything before it appears.
Film details, posters, and images come from The Movie Database (TMDB); this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming and cinema availability comes from several public sources. We work hard to keep it accurate, but platforms change their catalogues and dates without notice, so an alert or date can occasionally be early, late, or wrong. Sinoonim isn't affiliated with any cinema or streaming service, and their names and logos belong to them.
We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if it breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or is required by law. You can stop using Sinoonim and delete your account whenever you like.
Sinoonim is provided "as is." We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every piece of information in it is correct. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Sinoonim, or for content other users post. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.
If we change these terms in a meaningful way — for example, when a paid Pro tier arrives — we'll update the date above and let you know in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Sinoonim after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
