01

How streaming alerts work

Add a film to your watchlist with the bell or the + on its poster. Sinoonim checks Malaysian streaming availability twice a day, and when a film on your watchlist arrives on a service — Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, HBO Max, and others — you get a push notification and, if you're signed in, an email.

Dates for upcoming releases come from the services themselves and can shift, so an alert can occasionally arrive a little earlier or later than a listed date.

03

Cinemas and opening day

In cinemas on Home has two tabs: Now showing and Opening soon, with the Malaysian opening date for every chain. Tap the bell on a film that hasn't opened yet, and you'll get an "in cinemas today" reminder on its opening day, in the evening. Showtimes and tickets are on each cinema's own site.

04

Your account and watchlist

You can browse and keep a watchlist without an account. Signing in — with email, Apple, or Google — keeps your watchlist, reviews, rankings, and lists safe across your phone and sinoonim.com, and lets you follow people.

Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. If you signed up with Apple or Google, sign in the same way again.

05

Reporting and blocking

If a review, reply, list, or profile breaks our Terms of Use, tap its "…" menu and choose Report. We review every report and act on objectionable content within 24 hours.

From the same menu you can Block someone: you'll stop seeing each other's reviews, replies, and profiles, and any follow between you is removed. You can unblock people in Account → Permissions.

06

Deleting your account

Go to Account → Delete account and confirm. Your account and everything in it — reviews, replies, likes, watchlist, rankings, lists, and follows — are deleted permanently, straight away. See our Privacy Policy for more.

Where the information comes from

Film details, posters, and images come from The Movie Database (TMDB); this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability is from JustWatch, the services' own listings, and Malaysian sources; cinema dates are from Malaysian cinema listings. If something looks wrong, email us and we'll fix it.
